Production Blog
Hey blog, it's me Jenna.Welcome back here to tell you how my music video is going. So, as you know from my previous blogs, I was the one filming and editing. And as you may also know, we had a hard time during this project. We ran into filming incorrectly, which almost led to an entirely new video, and editing the first time came out wrong. But now I'm here to tell you how my successful editing process went and what I did. First, on photos, the iPhone has a feature for editing where you can press one button and change the entire video or photo from portrait to landscape mode and vice versa. Next, I realized that each scene should be five seconds or less, and ours was nine seconds, so I had to trim it. Just like before, the iPhone has a setting in editing where I can trim the videos down. Thankfully, when we were filming, nine seconds were kind of long, so everything I trimmed was just place fillers and didn't really add to the story. Next, for the split screen scenes, I press the two videos, and I can press the split screen template and save it to my camera roll. Next, once I edited all of the scenes and content, I could piece it all together, which is super easy because I just go into Capcut and click the videos in order, and they all kind of just fall into place. Next, for the sound, I just take the original music video and extract the sound from the video. This is why I don't have the video part of the music video, but I do have the sound. then I add it to my video, and it once again falls into place perfectly. Oh, and I forgot to mention how I had to muffle the sound of each scene's sounds so they wouldn't overlap with the song. Which is just another button an iPhone's editing section has. It's crazy how technology works these days. I hope you enjoyed, and this is Jenna signing out. See you next time on the blog
