Production: Editing
Hey blog, it's me Jenna, welcome back here to tell you our editing process. Now that you know how we filmed, you can now understand our editing process. So to start off, we filmed on an iPhone in the camera app, and there were a lot of retakes, so I had to go back through and pick out the best takes of each scene and make sure I didn't skip any. Next, I had to edit them in the Photos app before I put them all together. For example, I cut them down so they fit into our time frame of MAX two minutes, and it was easier to do it in the photos app rather than in CapCut. Not only did I have to edit the length of the scene, but I also had to mute some scenes that weren't meant to have sound. Next, I went onto CapCut, transferred all the scenes to CapCut, and pieced them all together. To piece them all together is very easy; you just click them in the order you want them, and then they automatically go together. After that, I was still off with the timing, so I fixed that and was then able to move on to adding the music. I'll go in depth in the music blog, but I pretty much found the sound I liked, screen-recorded it, saved it to my camera for the exact amount of time I needed, and then went back into CapCut and extracted the sound from the video I took and pasted it in. Next, I didn't like how the sound just cut out at the end, so I edited it to fade out and make it sound much better. Another thing I fixed with the music was that it was too loud, and in the scenes where there was dialog, you couldn't hear what the actors were saying, so throughout the entire video, I put the music down so it would match all the way through. The editing process is really easy, in my opinion, and also fun. In the last three projects, I have filmed and edited, and I really like them. I love to watch it all piece together in the end. And after all the projects I have done, I am actually really good at editing, and it's not as difficult as it used to be back when I did my first project. I got the editing done for this project in under an hour. Well, that's our editing process. I hope you enjoyed it, and this is Jenna signing out.
See you next time on the blog.
